Minimal Boho Birthday
For this party, I got to reflect my own personal style.
I’m a boho enthusiast to the core.
I love expressing art so I love the asymmetrical and minimal (if done right).
Throw in neutrals and a little bit of pink, I’m all about it!
For this design in particular though, I got full reign because…
It was my daughter’s birthday! LOL
Behind my Floral Design
The Arch.
I love dried flowers. The only thing I love more than that is orchids! I had to include them in this design.
I simply added it to my copper backdrop and draped a white curtain to one side. Simple yet elegant.
For the dried florals, I used stuff that I always have on hand. Take note: palm fronds, amaranthus, cotton spray, and bleached stardust gypsophila. They’re so versatile and not as expensive as others on the market! You can even find them in Michael’s in a bind.
For the real flowers, I added these pale pink roses and baby’s breath. It won’t break the bank but it adds so much dimension and texture.
The Peacock Chair
One of my favorite items available to rent is this peacock chair.
It just so happens that all my daughters love this chair! On her birthday, Cammie had a chance to be a princess on it. Here she is posing. So cute!
The Back Story
This drive-by party almost didn’t happen.
My husband thought I was crazy to push through but we did this event on day 4 of a summer blackout.
Can you imagine?! I thought about cancelling her birthday.
However, the baker still had power so we had the cake. I was able to find flowers at some grocery store so we had all the decor. Plus, we had so much family and friends ready to love on her. It was hot but honestly, it was much better than being inside!
It was a beautiful day and I was so thankful we did it. Blackout and all.
Thanks for tuning in!
