Neutrals & Greens Boho Drive-by Shower
When one of my favorite clients asked me to help throw her friend’s shower, I was so down!
Pregnancy is such a beautiful, crazy time. Throw in a pandemic and it makes for an interesting journey into motherhood. Technically, I gave birth to a quarantine baby but I’m not sure what I would have done if I was pregnant now. My heart is always to celebrate moms but new moms in particular. I was so excited to make this drive-by shower special!
Concept & Colors
Our mama to be was expecting a baby boy. She was excited to try a boho chic look which I am always down for!
We had a palette of neutrals with shades of green. I especially loved the eucalyptus color for these balloons. Just to make it earthy, I added a little greenery and dried florals.

I also made a custom welcome sign.
I have a background of doing a lot of graphic design so I try to custom make everything! I love putting in the work and it feels more personal to me. She wanted a subtle boho and safari look and here’s what I came up with.
I printed it as a 20x30 board print and placed it on one of my wooden easels.
Of course, no boho backdrop is complete without the peacock chair.
I was really happy how this event turned out.
The weather was still nice in November and for that I am thankful. The parents to be were the sweetest people and I was so glad to meet them!
I’m so happy that we can still celebrate these special moments.
I was pregnant 4 times and I was thankful to enjoy it with family and friends. It’s fulfilling for me when I see someone is being celebrated, like this beautiful mama to be.
These days it may seem impossible but there is always a way to celebrate with someone.
Whether it be Zoom, drive-by, or even a cool backdrop for photos, you can always do something. No matter how big or small. For every special occasion, I’m known for going all out or being “extra” (LOL). Honestly, you never know when it could be your last…. why not make it special and beautiful?
