Pink Boho First Birthday

I think you guys know I love a boho take and this party was special. It was my (second) daughter’s first birthday!

Concept

We went with a peach and pink color palette.

For the florals, it was more wildflowers than the pampas grass. Flower-child vibes.

Plus I just wanted an excuse to wear a flower crown 😅

Florals

The amazing arch and flower arrangements were made by an up and coming florist! Her name is Sorah from Garland of Grace Floral. Check out her beautiful work here.

Final Touches

To finish it off we added a 6ft balloon garland, a wooden gold name sign from Etsy, with a few dream catchers from Amazon and voilà.

The Dessert

I love just seeing things come together from friends and family. They all made the desserts.

And who says it can’t look beautiful?

Plus, I brought back my grocery store cake hack plus a few new ones.

I love a good hack and I love throwing flowers on desserts so here are some fun ideas I came up with!

Store-bought macarons from Home Goods

Always clutch in a bind! Add some flowers and it you have an eye-catching display.

Ice Cream Cones

I’ve done these for a few events and people love it! Grab a box of ice cream cones and a bunch of spray roses and you have a unique dessert display!

The Venue

The venue was a big open church space so we had a lot of room. We used wood panels at the entrance to setup a welcoming area. Wood panels were used to create some dimension. After that, we hung dream catchers and florals to add a whimsical flair.

Giveaways

Check out these cute giveaways! We put together individual treat boxes and magnets.

Tables

It was farm table seating with 5 long rows of tables. We distributed rose gold tablecloths throughout with little bud vases filled with wildflowers. Simple yet it really popped with the sequins.

Korean Tradition (The Doljabi)

My husband is Korean. I believe that having a multicultural family teaches you to not only learn or tolerate differences but also to embrace them.

Four kids later, one important Korean tradition is the child’s first birthday and more importantly, the doljabi. The baby is placed in front of various items like a stethescope, instrument, or money. It is thought that the item the baby chooses will predict his or her future. It makes for a great guessing game for guests!

She chose a ukulele by the way.

Music may be in her future? Time will tell. LOL

Me and my (not so) baby

It was a very special day.

Everyone came together to make this day happen. It didn’t break the bank but it was still so magical.

Even event planners take time to enjoy life’s fleeting moments.

Thanks for tuning in!
